IrlandêsHello everyone, I'm a native German speaker and a language freak. I've been working on my English intensively for several years now. Meanwhile, I think, it has improved a lot and I feel quite confident with it. But I'm still a learner, who makes mistakes. The grammar is still bothering me at times, because I learned most things by doing. Although the pronunciation of new words very often succeeds instinctively, that doesn't always work. I'd love to assist others with German in a conversational way to not get worse again, and to hone my language skills. I'm a huge fan of the Irish accents that are spoken more in the west and south of Ireland and around Dublin, but my own English is, I guess, a wild mix of everything from everywhere. I see English as a lingua franca, as kind of my door to the world, to other cultures. I love playing with language and language(s). I also like poetry, but don't know much of poetry in English yet. I do some sport, I love nature and walk my dog in every weather in nature. Besides that, my interests are manifold (I just lack the time to do everything as intensively as I would love to). I’ve been studying Spanish for quite a few years, though not very consistently, so I still consider myself somewhat at the beginning of my learning journey. I can read simple Spanish fairly well, but I find speaking and understanding spoken Spanish much more challenging, which is why I’m hoping to find someone patient to practice with!
I’m friendly, creative, and love learning about different cultures. In exchange, I’d be happy to help you practice English. I enjoy meaningful conversations, art, nature, travel, fitness, and personal development, but I’m open to chatting about anything.

Well, I am a dynamic figure, 1+4+3+6+3+2+2+4+3+1+2+1 years old, ENTJ personality, fluent in Czech 🇨🇿 and sarcasm, awesome bathroom singer 🎶, green tea lover 🍵, fluffy bunnies’ admirer 🐇, pizza enthusiast 🍕, Czech beer drinker 🍻, Marvel universe fan 💪, theoretical chess player ♟️, ice hockey watcher 🏒 and toilet paper apocalypse 2020 survivor 🧻.
Omnipotent, but an apathetic underachiever, mindless ignorant of social networks. Often seen at squash court - I can hurl squash rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy.
I’ve been waiting all winter to start complaining about the summer heat 🥵 – high temperatures make me realize I can’t go to hell.
Sometimes, I prefer to use my face for emoticons. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket 🛒. I manage time efficiently and my bills are all paid. 💲
I never seen to make the same mistake twice - I make it five or six times, just to be sure. I don’t believe in miracles. I rely on them. I cook thirty-minute brownies in twenty minutes. I wake up every morning with the excitement of wanting to go directly back to sleep.
The biggest lie I tell myself is „I don’t need to write that down, I‘ll remember it“ Years ago, I discovered the meaning of life but – of course – I forgot to write it down so don’t ask me about it.
I have spoken with former Czech president several times. I am humble. I have no need to brag.

About Me
Hi! I’m Anthony from Michigan, USA. I first moved to Asia in the late 1990s and spent many years living in Taiwan, which still feels like a second home to me. I truly value Asian culture and the friendships I’ve made there over the years.
I will be traveling to Asia this August, including Taiwan and Vietnam, and I’m excited to reconnect and improve my Chinese — and start learning Vietnamese as well.
What I Do
I’m an entrepreneur and small business owner. I work in commercial real estate and also as a professional laser technician, running a laser clinic in the United States.
I enjoy real conversations about business, culture, travel, art, and everyday life — not textbook topics, but meaningful exchanges.
