I once decided to learn Serbian to impress former co-workers who work out of Belgrade. I've never left USA. I don't even have that job anymore. Learning Serbian is my stubborn and likely my pointless pastime pursuit. Learning Serbian reminds me how I was able to use my brain at a younger time in my life for studying calculus and for studying physics.
The population of Serbians is very small in my city. But I get all the help I need at the Serbian Orthodox church. If I lived in Cleveland or in Chicago, there would be more opportunities for me to participate in natural speaking Serbian conversations. They allow me to listen to their conversations because they know I am practicing and they know I need to hear it spoken. And people who want to direct my work and focus to serve them will not follow me to the church. I get the peace I need for studying at the church.
My favorite approach is through literacy. I like reading Cyrillic texts. With practice I am learning meanings and pronunciations of words. I also do other things like listening to Serbian content creators and setting my navigator to speak Serbian. When I feel prepared to listen, read and write, I will take the college courses at Ohio State University.

If somebody annoys me on the internet and wants to fight about something, I find it funny when I respond in English. But my English response is Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. I find it very funny and have a great time in cases where I lose patience with somebody.

My current interest is Artificial Intelligence Governance. I want to create a comedy podcast about the Cleveland Browns and get it working before next season. I want the podcast to be AI hallucinations and use ridiculous deep fakes of voices. I want the AI to generate the podcast as it listens to live games and upload it before I know what happens.
