Hi there! I'm looking for someone to practise my spoken English and German with!
My English level is pretty high, I'd say C1+. I hesitate to say C2 cuz I've never tried to get a certificate or something, but I don't have issues in communication, unless we're talking about rocket science lmao, then I'll super lost in any language. Would love to talk with some natives from different places (British Isles would be cool cuz I do have more exposure to American English as of now, but I'm not picky tbh).
When it comes to German, I'd say B1-B2? I can speak, but my passive vocabulary is much better (and water is wet, yeah). Some topics are a mystery, and even though I know the basics of sentence structure and such, the faster I try to speak, the worse it gets. Also, when it comes to my interests, I often find myself at a loss how to say something because we never discussed, for example, anime at uni😅 Hochdeutsch is preferred.
I'm a native Ukrainian speaker, Ukrainian is (and has always been) my first language. Also, due to the fact that I have to write some, let's say, academic stuff, I know the literary language as well as colloquial.
I'm a linguist/ESL teacher, so I can also help you with English in exchange for German because, as I said before, my English is pretty good🙃

Female, in my late 20s, but I don't mind talking to someone older/younger, as long as there's an overlap of interests. Gender doesn't matter, but absolutely NO ROMANTIC stuff. Nope. No. Not interested. (Had some prior negative experience, so sorry for the extra emphasis.)
We can chat here first, you can check my language(s) level for yourself:D then we can move to some other neutral platform that allows voice messages, afterwards we can consider video calls if both parties are comfortable with it.

I'm into reading, films, TV series (especially crime/detective/action, from different countries, including the USA, Britain, South Korea), anime/manga (FMA(B), AOEX, BSD would be some of my faves), webtoons (CB is now in my heart, iykyk), AO3 (also, iykyk), and yeah... I am also a language nerd in general and keen on travelling. Idk, open to questions?
