Hello.

My name is Justin I work in state government but am currently attending college for a dual history and education (teaching) degree. I also intend to get a minor in Japanese Studies.

I am a native English speaker, and am passible with spanish (at the best of times). However, I am a total beginner with Japanese and Russian.

Spanish: I took two years of Spanish in Highschool, and worked in restauraunts as a teenager where the prodominate language spoken was Spanish. I am by no means fluent but I can typically get my point across in spanish. I would like to become atleast conversational in spanish.

Russian: I took a year of Russian for my senior year in Highschool but was unable to really learn the language. I know some minor bits of conversation and have been able to practice with an Arminian friend of mine but have been unable to really pick it up. Would enjoy practice on this in part due to my degree path and being able to read primary materials on the Japan-Russo war.

Japanese: To be bluntly honest I have only started lessons on Japanese November of 2020. This is a relatively recient development for myself as I have always wanted to learn Japanese but have been unable to due to no instruction for the language in my area (Even the Japanese Shinto Buddhist Temple conducts their services in English here). As such I am at the mercy of self teaching books, Rosetta stone, and hopefully finding friends to practice with.

My hobbies: I am a history fanatic. I love American History, European History, and East Asian History. but beyond that I am a hunter, a fisherman, as well as a bit of a nerd. I do like to go camping, but also like video games, and have no problem discussing a variety of topics.
