Professor of mathematics, but interested in Chinese history and culture. Lived in Singapore for 22 years. Studied Chinese at UC Berkeley for 2 years while getting my PhD, but have forgotten most of it. Trying to get back into it. Struggling with pronunciation and listening comprehension. I have some experience helping people learn Norwegian.

EspanholI am a Portuguese scientist who studied in the US and now live in Norway. My native language is Portuguese, but am also fluent in English and regularly use French, Norwegian and Castellano/"Spanish" (can read all of them fluently, understand people more or less without problems, but speaking is more complicated...). Russian - which is my main goal here - is another story: though I read Russian every day, mostly history or "popular" science books and telegram chats, but can only say very basic things.
Besides languages and cultures I am very much into science (all sorts) and history, love reading, traveling, gardening,... and learning about other peoples' lives and cultures by talking to them.

Nå tar jeg B1.B2 og ønsker å bli betre med muntlig. Min morsmål er japansk, så jeg kan lære deg Japansk. Min japansk er nær formell direkte, så mindre direct. Så synes jeg at det er lettre å fosta. Jeg håper at vi kan lære sammen!!!
