My name is Ruby. I live with my husband and dog in a lovely place in the mountains near Sydney. I work full time as an analyst, love ballroom dance, literature, mysteries and puzzles and French. My father went to school in France and was a native speaker but didn’t pass anything on when I was little as he wanted to improve his English.

I am looking for a language exchange partner to help improve my spoken Japanese.
I am not a beginner in Japanese, I have taken some classes and I did have a tutor some years ago. I have some speaking skills, but my English accent affects my Japanese pronunciation.
I would like to improve my pronunciation by speaking with a native Japanese speaker. I would also like to improve my listening skills and increase my conversational ability.
I realise I will never speak Japanese like a native speaker and will always have an accent.
I am looking for an exchange partner who speaks good English who would like to practise their skills in speaking and listening – and increase and improve their vocabulary. As a native English speaker and former teacher, I can help you to reach a higher, more fluent level of English.
