I am a working student, hopefully to start studying this autumn of 2022. I've lived abroad as an ESL teacher in Korea for two years, and want to perfect my language skills. I hope to teach English again, as well as other languages. I hope to do translation work in the future, as well.
I'm an artist (of an amateur nature), and I've studied Anthropology as my undergrad. I hope to study linguistics further, along with art.
My heritage is Slovak and Irish, though I don't speak either Slovak or Gaelic. I love traditional things, including music, textiles, and dance. Exploring any culture's traditions is best done in the language of that culture, so hope to take my language skills far to truly embrace the traditional and historical aspects of different cultures, including my own.
I am interested mainly in meeting in person, but over zoom or other video call is fine. :D

I'm currently studying Spanish in school, but would also like to learn Korean.
I can speak Chinese and English fluently so I'd love to help people out if they can in return help me improve my Spanish and/or Korean. I know little Korean (I'm trying hard to learn my Hangul characters and simple words using an app) but I would like to chat with pen pals so I can be fluent in both speaking and writing it out. I can write simple sentences in Spanish (again, I'm still studying in school so I will improve in the years) and also speak them, but it takes longer since my brain processes Spanish super slowly. :,)
Anyways, I hope that I can meet new people here and learn new languages! Thank you!

Hi,
I'm a coastal engineer living in Seattle. I lived in Spain for one year in 2013-2014, and have unfortunately forgotten a lot of the Spanish skills I learned there. I would love to find a native Spanish speaker to practice with, and I'd be more than happy to practice English as well.
I'm vaccinated and would ideally like to meet up regularly for conversations (either meeting for a walk in a local park, at a cafe, etc).
