I spent nearly six weeks in Gijón, Asturias, Spain in the summer of 2019. I had planned to return, but the pandemic has been an obstacle. Skype conversations will help maintain the Spanish I have learned. I am an English teacher in the U.S. during the regular school year. I’ve recently begun learning to read classical Arabic for academic reasons, but I thought that it would be a good idea to learn the modern language, as well. I’m interested in any dialect.
Also, my French is very good, but very Parisian, so I’d be interested in learning about how the language is spoken elsewhere.
