I am organizing an event in the french-speaking part of Switzerland next year. I have studiend French in school and can understand it better know since I have learned to speak Italian, but I would like to become more fluent. Besides, I am teaching IGCSE Biology at a local high school, organize students trips to the Netherlands and do a bit of social media management. My native language is Dutch, while I am fluent in English and Italian. I can also get by in German as I lived in Basel, Switzerland for 5 years.

a little bit about me huh? well that it itself is a big question. was born in Venezuela, lived in the Netherlands and Spain for 10 years and now i am living on Curacao a Caribbean Island where the native language is called Papiamentu. Further the languages that I have under my belt are; English, Papiamentu, Spanish and Dutch. I love languages and I finally decided to take it more seriously to study more, there is no betting feeling to be able to talk to the locals when you travel for some reason it feels like they can could connect more that way. I would like to learn mandarin (I do not have a clue where to start) so I'm looking for guidelines where to start and eventually to be able to talk and interact with some natives. hopefully I can find some people to practice with :D

Hi! I'm Lena, and I'd like to learn Mandarin Chinese. I'm a total beginner and haven't mastered the tones yet. I'm a native Dutch speaker living in Belgium, and I would love to teach someone Dutch or English in exchange for Mandarin lessons.

I’m a native Dutch speaker and looking for a language buddy to improve my Chinese to become more fluent and get to know informal sayings instead of just theoretical studying.

Hi there, I'm Lars. I'm a big philosophy, literature, and language nerd looking for someone with similar interests who speaks either German or French in or around Utrecht/Amsterdam/Amersfoort. I can help with Dutch -nat, Engl -fl, Ger ~fl I know it sounds paradoxical but my Ger is already really advanced, I just want to maintain and perfect it - or Ital -C2. For French I'm also willing to do online calls because it's been impossible to find someone irl so far, and I've reached the point where I really need to start speaking on a regular basis. I'd also be interested in exchanging letters in Fr-Ger-Ita, in which case you can of course write in your practicing language. If you still find talking a little scary, trust me it's thé way to improve your skills and I think I'm quite helpful and supportive in the matter. I'm a relaxed, goofy and talkative person who asks a lot of questions and likes good dialogue. I enjoy cooking, movies, musea, and sports. Please write me if your up for a an exchange that's equal parts language grinding and friendship. I've found that the latter is actually essential to the former.
