Hi, I'm Tyler. I'm 39 years old and am a graduate student majoring in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I really want to teach in Northern China when I graduate next summer (2020), so I am learning Mandarin on my own. I have found some good apps for learning vocabulary, and some good graded readers to help with my reading. However, I don't have anyone to speak with, and am a very low level (between HSK 1 and 2), so listening to movies or tv is very difficult. I would really like to practice my spoken Mandarin, and am more than happy to help you with your spoken or written English.
I also have a degree in Art Education, and love to draw, paint, and make pottery; I enjoy simples crafts as well. I like to cook, and watch a lot of cooking shows. I like traveling, and have been to many countries both for work and pleasure. I enjoy learning about world history and foreign cultures. I speak some French (intermediate) and a little Spanish (low beginner), as well.
